The river Ain has always been favourable to adventure. Our ancestors used to tumble down the raging water on Navoys, huge rafts made of fir trunks, linked by goat's skins. Will you dare to experience this adventurous spirit ?
From Poncin to the Rhone, canoeing on the river Ain is possible. Choose your distance : 5, 10, 22 or 35 kms, for one day or half a day, but respect the nature and the fishermen. Bus links take you back. Canoeing on the river depends on its flow from May to September.
