raisin A small area – 136,4 ha only – but a huge renown. The vineyard of Cerdon, characterised by steep slopes, offers a sparkling rosé wine, appreciated for its fruity taste and its light foam. Very aromatic, the Gamay and the Poulsard are the vines recognised for this vineyard.

All the inhabitants are proud of this beverage “Appellation d’origine contrôlée” (AOC) wine since 2009. Original and exclusive, it is the only sparkling rosé wine naturally produced in France. For the main part of the production, the wine grower uses a traditional method which is characterised by several steps.

The producing villages are the following: Boyeux-Saint-Jérôme, Cerdon, Jujurieux, Mérignat, Poncin, Saint-Alban et Saint-Jean-le-Vieux.
